PASSPrep is an offline-first study app for Canadian knowledge-test practice, published by RikWorks. Core features work without an account. Progress is stored on your device. We do not sell personal information.
Information we collect
Stored on your device
- Selected exam and onboarding completion
- Practice and mock-exam progress, bookmarks, and missed-question history
- Appearance preferences (theme)
This data stays in local storage (SQLite) on your device unless you back up or transfer the device yourself.
Not collected by the published app
- No account or email sign-in
- No payment card details (Apple or Google process the one-time app purchase; there are no in-app purchases)
- No advertising, and no advertising identifier
- No analytics and no third-party crash reporting
- No camera, microphone, contacts, or precise location access
The published build does not initialize a crash or analytics SDK. Study activity is not sent off the device.
Network use
PASSPrep is designed to work offline after install. The app does not require an internet connection for core practice features. Your device may still use network services provided by Apple or Google (for example app updates, store billing, or opening the store rating page when you choose Rate the app).
How we use information
On-device data is used only to:
- Remember your exam selection and study progress
- Power bookmarks, weak-area practice, and results review
- Apply your settings
Sharing
We do not sell or share on-device study data with advertisers.
Platform providers may process purchase, install, and related device information under their own policies when you buy or install the app:
Security
Study progress and related preferences are stored locally on your device. We use reasonable technical measures appropriate to an offline study app, including reliance on your device operating system’s storage and access protections. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children’s privacy
PASSPrep is a general-audience study tool. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a future account feature, contact us and we will delete it where applicable.
Data retention and deletion
Study data remains on your device until you clear app storage, uninstall the app, or reset the device. Uninstalling removes local PASSPrep data. Because we do not operate user accounts, there is no separate cloud account deletion request for study progress.

Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
